What a depot digitises

Cold room and freezer temperature rounds with breach escalation, loading bay and vehicle pre-trip inspections including tail-lift and curtain checks, goods-in verification against supplier and temperature specification, goods-out and dispatch checks with photo evidence of load condition, FIFO and stock rotation verification, cleaning schedules and pest control for ambient and chilled areas, and driver hygiene and training records.

  • A temperature breach notifies the site manager the same hour
  • Vehicle checks per truck per day, attributable to the driver who signed
  • Retail customer questionnaires answered from live records, not memory

The standards distribution runs

Depots serving retail typically run the GFSI Global Markets Programme or step up to BRCGS Storage and Distribution. Both requirement sets load on the same platform, and the records built at Entry level carry forward to certification.

Paper freezes too

Clipboards in a minus 25 freezer produce exactly the records you would expect. Cased tablets with gloves-on capture do not. Compare the printing and filing cost of a depot's daily sheets against the subscription.

QUESTIONS FROM STORAGE & DISTRIBUTION

Asked before every demo

Can ASCloud integrate temperature logger data?

Manual temperature rounds are native, and logger or sensor feeds are scoped per site as an integration during onboarding. Either way the evidence lands in one register with limits and escalation.

Do vehicle checks work for a mixed fleet?

Yes. Each vehicle carries its own checklist schedule: rigid, semi, bakkie or third-party carrier, each with its own items, and every check attributable to the driver who performed it.

We are a 3PL. Can our customers see their own records?

Access is role-based, so a customer auditor can be given read access to the records that concern their product, and nothing else. Audit packs export per customer, per period, in one click.
